Synopsis from Goodreads:

Everyone in Rosemary Beach thinks they know how Rush Finlay and Blaire Wynn fell in love. But Rush is back to tell his side of the story...

Rush has earned every bit of his bad-boy reputation. The three-story beach house, luxury car, and line of girls begging for time between his sheets are the envy of every guy in Rosemary Beach, and Rush handles it all with the laid-back cool of a rock stars son. All he needs are his best friend, Grant, and his sister, Nan.

Until Blaire Wynn drives into town in her beat-up pickup truck with a pistol under her seat. The Alabama farm girl instantly captures Rushs attention once he discovers that the angelic beauty is his new stepsister, but he vows to keep his distance. Even if she needs his help. Even if he craves her.

Because Rush knows why Blaire is all alone in the world, forced to ask for help from the father who abandoned her three years ago. And he knows if he gets too close it will destroy Nan, who has a secret connection to Blaire.

He has every reason in the world to stay away from her. Find out why he doesn't.
My Thoughts...
It's been almost a year and a half since I first stumbled upon the start of the Rosemary Beach series.  If you have been reading my reviews for awhile then you know that I have not always been happy with this series, but I did LOVE the first book Fallen Too Far.  I quickly fell in love with the story and the characters so when I was approached to review this book for the blog tour I was more than happy.  Especially since I have truly loved Rush from the very first moment he appeared in the series.

This is not an extension of the series, this is Fallen Too Far as told by Rush.  I think that this book is my favorite of the series by far.  I really think that it's the best of Abbi's work so far.  I didn't feel like this was just one of those re-telling from another POV books.  I felt like this was almost it's own story because Rush is kind of a complicated character so much of the story is new.  We get to know him in a whole new way.  We get to know the depth of his feeling for Nan, but I will say that it doesn't make me like her any better.  At this point I don't think there is anything that will make me like Nan.  If Abbi can write that book then that will probably be my new favorite of the series!

If you have read Fallen Too Far, then you know how this story goes, but if you haven't read it you will still enjoy this book very much.  Especially if you like bad boys, because Rush Finlay is definitely a bad boy.  He's the grown son of an aging rock star.  He has more money than he knows what to do with so he supports is mother and beloved sister.  He's a tattooed and pierced man whore who doesn't kiss women because it's too personal.  When he lays eyes on Blaire, his gorgeous younger step-sister, he is sunk.  We see her how he sees her and we see how much he cares for her from the first moment even though he treats her so badly at first.  It's clear from the beginning though that he's doing it because he doesn't want to be having these feelings for her and he doesn't think he is the right man for her.  He just can't do it though, and it's changing how he handles the people who were always the most important to him.  It's making him shift his priorities for the first time and for the first time he is thinking about what he wants long-term and not about keeping Nan safe.  It's the very beginning of him releasing Nan to live her own life, even though that fight isn't nearly over!

I loved this book so much and I really do love Rush.  I don't know if Abbi plans to write the rest of the books from his POV, but I know that if she does I will be right there picking them up the first chance I get.  This book is just as steamy and sexy as the original, if not more.  There is something so different about reading love scenes from the male POV.  This is a New Adult title so be aware that there are steamy and detailed love scenes.

XOXO, Shelly
