Synopsis from Goodreads:

I Love My... Omnibus Edition brings you all four of Jessica's books, in a single volume. It's for those of you who wanna dive in, and read the whole steamy story now. I Love My Healed Heart contains, respectively: David Sucks (bonus story: the days of the actual breakup) - I Love My Breakup - I Love My Office Fling - I Love My Freak Out - I Love My Destiny.
When David cheated on me, it sent my whole world crashing down, and by "my whole world," I mean ME. But sometimes the best thing for us, is horrible crushing heartbreak. I wish it didn't have to be that way, but that's what happened to me. What I thought was the worst thing that's ever happened... turned out to be the absolutely, most amazingly, best. This is my story of how I learned to trust myself again.  xx, Jessica
My Thoughts...
This is one of those books that I picked up and read in just a matter of hours.  It's relatively short and a nice quick read if you are looking for something light, yet very adult in content.  This is a compilation of what I believe started out as a series of short stories.  There are 5 stories in all in this compilation.

I believe I gave this a 3 star rating on Goodreads.  I enjoyed it well enough, but there were a few things that I just couldn't get past.  So, Jessica is a newly single girl.  She's just found out that her live in boyfriend has been cheating on her for some time, in fact she actually catches him "in the act".  This is a tale of how she tries to essentially get on with her life by jumping back into the dating scene.

The opening scene in the first story, while sexy to a point, is reckless and somewhat crazy to think about in this day and age.  It's a blind date thing where she meets a guy through an ad and through email ends up inviting him to her apartment...in New York City.  This is just crazy to me and it seems very unsafe.  She then proceeds, throughout the course of the story, to try to get over her ex even though she is constantly running in to him.  She has a fling with a co-worker, flirts with guys in bars, etc...but there is always something missing.

I did enjoy Jessica despite her near constant reckless behavior with men.  She's funny and her dialogue was always fun to read.  I really think that we needed maybe one more story to wrap it all up though.  She finally does meet the man of her dreams, if you will, but all we get of their story is what is really more of an epilogue.  I think I would have enjoyed it much more if there had been a proper story to end it instead. Actually I think that this would have been a better book than a collection of short stories.  It would have flowed better if there had been a more natural progression as opposed to just chunks of stories.

This is an adult story and jumps into some steamy love scenes right away so if you don't like that kind of story then you may want to steer clear of this one!

XOXO, Shelly
