Synopsis from Goodreads:

Ash, Jace, and Gabe: three of the wealthiest, most powerful men in the country. They’re accustomed to getting anything they want. Anything at all. For Ash, it’s the woman who changes everything he’s ever known about dominance and desire...

When it comes to sex, Ash McIntyre has always explored his wilder side—extreme and uncompromising. He demands control. And he prefers women who want it like that. Even the women he’s shared with his best friend, Jace.

But Jace is involved with a woman he has no intention of sharing. And now even Gabe has settled into a relationship with a woman who gives him everything he needs, leaving Ash feeling restless and unfulfilled.

Then Ash meets Josie, who seems immune to his charms and his wealth. Intrigued, he begins a relentless pursuit, determined she won’t be the one who got away. He never imagined the one woman to tell him no would be the only woman who’d ever drive him to the edge of desire.

My Thoughts...
I loved this book.  Really the whole series is very good, Ms. Banks has a way of drawing you in and making you really care about her characters.  I have to say though, Ash, was my favorite of the 3 boys.  He's one of those guys that you can't help but love.  He comes from a family where money was everything, but in order to have it you had to conform to what the family expected of you.  Ash decided early on that he wasn't going to be that guy so he broke away from them and all the money he has he made on his own.  We know from the previous books that he has done this, but we don't have a real sense of what the underlying issue is.  This book brings all that to the front and makes for some very interesting showdown's between Ash and members of his family.

Josie is a struggling artist who is just about flat broke.  She has gone so far as to pawn the only things she has left that mean anything to her.  She and Ash have a chance meeting in a park and they are pretty much gone for each other at that moment.  It does take a little time for them to re-connect, but it's not long.  Josie is pretty much all alone and when Ash decides he wants to be the one to take care of her she doesn't have to give it too much thought.  Her last boyfriend was very hands off, didn't show affection and most certainly not in public so Ash is completely different and she decides that she really likes this part of him.   She is feeling confident about herself and her art after someone decided to buy up all of her gallery pieces.  She feels that even though she can take care of herself it might be nice to have someone else to count on.

Josie seems to fit right in with the rest of the group and she gets along nicely with Ash's sister as well.  If you have read this series then you know that "girls night out" is a big deal and this book has a hilarious and sexy girls night out.  Technically, this book could be read as a standalone, but I really think you are missing out if you don't read them in order.  There are things about Ash that come up in the other books that are kind of important to his character and how he develops in this book.

This is an adult book that borders on erotica.  There are themes of bondage and S&M in this series as a whole.  There are some very explicit love scenes that touch on things that not all adult romance books do.  This is not to say that this series is all sex and no plot though.  Each book has a separate plot, but they also have a running plot that starts in the 1st book and ends in this one.  I enjoyed all these main characters and this is a series that I will most definitely read again.  In fact, I am looking forward to reading more of Maya Banks' work as these are the first books of hers that I have read.
