Diving in...
I feel the need to apologize to Mark for taking so long to read this book. I feel like I am finally getting back into my groove again.

I loved this book and I am finding that I really am enjoying this mystery genre more and more.  This book just cemented that for me and I will say that I am quite looking forward to reading the next book in the Danny Logan series, so be looking for a review on that book soon as well.

Initially the prologue of the book had me wondering if I was truly going to enjoy the book or not, but once I finished the first chapter I was hooked.  This is one of those stories that really does keep you guessing all the way through.  A lot of times I have most of the plot figured out by halfway through, but not this one.  Danny is a really likable character, but Toni was definitely my favorite.  There is something about her (probably the tattoos and leather) that reminded me a lot of Lisbeth Salander who is one of my favorite female book characters.  I am really looking forward to seeing what happens with Toni in the next book.

The only thing I had a problem with in this story was Gina's magnetism.  I didn't get it, I found her to be particularly manipulative and I was getting annoyed that she had such power over all the men in her life.  This is just a personal observation, but one that I feel like I shared with the character Toni.  Toni is a very bright girl and I think she had Gina pegged from the beginning, but she cared enough about Danny to give him the space he needed to come to his own conclusions.

This book is really well written and very well edited, which is always a good thing for me!  I think that Mr. Grayson did an excellent job developing these characters and giving them each such colorful back stories.  If you know me at all then you know that I love a good story set in Seattle.  The vivid descriptions made me feel like I was right there in the city again.  You can also see that a lot of work and research went into this story and that's always a really good thing in this type of book.

If you like a good detective story full of suspense, plot twists and unexpected turns then you are going to love this book.  The kindle version is a steal on Amazon right now for only $0.99.  I highly recommend it to anyone who loves this genre.
